About

Edgy Art is more than just a name…it represents the change that is occurring in the graphic arts industry. Today, more than ever before, we are seeing digital artists venture into the unknown, and forge a new path in the sometimes repetitive world of art. Much of this has come from the youth movement that is sweeping the nation. As few as ten years ago few schools were offering a degree in Graphic or Web Design, now it is one of the hottest majors in the country.

The renowned artist Diego Rivera once said, “art is the universal language, and it belongs to all mankind.” Diego hit the nail on the head with that quote. There are hundreds of different languages across the globe, and thousands of dialects to go along with them, but there is only one art. The great thing about art is that it has no boundaries, and is constantly evolving. Even better, is that art is whatever you make it. A picture of friends, a mural of achievements, a documentary and even a splattered canvas can be art. Sadly, art today has found itself in a rut, a place where some feel contempt in what already is, and are not willing to push the limits of design forward.

My goal with Edgy Art is to continually make that push in design, and evolve my skill set with the art I am creating.
